I’ve always said that the best way to see Australia is on a road trip. I’ll never forget the trip I did with my mother and my sister when I was ten years old. We hired a motor home and did a weeklong tour of the south-west of Western Australia, where I’m from. We got to see some amazing places in the region, and there was something really liberating about not having to stay somewhere different all the time, we just got in and drove to our next destination. No packing and no luggage to worry about. Now that I have a family of my own, I’m starting to think about getting a motor home or a caravan myself so that I can go on a road trip with my girls. I know they will love it just as much as I did nearly forty years ago. They certainly have come a long way on that time. The models around these days really do have all of the comforts of home, and more. I can’t wait to get out on the road again.
